Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the call for presentations and opening of registration for the WNA Annual Symposium 2013.
We are inviting applications from those wishing to give presentations at the Symposium. The topics we are particularly looking to include are:
• The Nuclear Supply Chain - in particular quality assurance and localisation
• The Nuclear Fuel Cycle
• Public Acceptance and Communication
• Financing
• Energy Policy and Nuclear Power
• Education and Training
We welcome presentations on these and other topics from industry experts and external specialists. We particularly encourage proposals from professionals in emerging nuclear countries and from younger specialists.
For the 5th year, the Fem’Energia Award will feature young women and women who promote gender development in their commitment for the nuclear sector. Women in Nuclear (WiN) Europe and WiN France and EDF are convinced that the nuclear jobs are often wrongly mistaken as “men’s job”. The nuclear field would benefit by welcoming more women in its sector. By pointing up remarkable women since 2009, the Fem’Energia Award promote the place of women in the nuclear field by showing the ones who have scientific, technical and nuclear technology posts. Thus, its goal is to attract young women and consolidate their choice of working in nuclear.
The following “call for application” and the accompanying flyer should provide you with more information about this special award.
You will find below the rules of the Ward, the application file to be completed and the flyer for the Award.

The European Nuclear Society organizes every 2 years a major nuclear conference called ENC (European Nuclear Conference). The 2012 edition took place in Manchester between the 9th and the 12th of December. WiN Europe was highly involved in the preparation as a member of the programme committee. This conference was also an opportunity to strengthen our links with the European Young Generation Network (ENS-YG) as we co-organized 2 workshops.

After four years, the foundation president of WiN Germany Beate Scheffler stepped down and the presidency turned over to Jutta Jené. Jutta was unanimously elected as president by the General Assembly of WiN Germany http://www.win-europe.org/members/74-win-germany on November, 9th, 2012.
